Cyrus Albright, a scholar at the Royal Academy of Atlasdam, investigates the disappearance of a rare tome from the academy archives. After deducing the thief's identity using his Scrutinize ability, he pursues the culprit into the Subterranean Study beneath the town. The chapter concludes with a boss battle against Russell and his elemental minions, leading Cyrus to depart on a journey across Orsterra.
