OCTOPATH TRAVELER™ guide · A river village in the Riverlands

Clearbrook is a quiet village in the Riverlands built alongside a river and is the starting location for Alfyn the Apothecary's Chapter 1 story. Players can recruit Alfyn here, learn his Concoct combat skill, and use his Inquire Path Action to gather hidden information from the local villagers. Outside of Alfyn's questline, the settlement offers access to Riverlands side stories and paths leading to nearby dungeons.

Tips

Alfyn's Inquire Path Action can be used on nearly every villager in Clearbrook to reveal hidden item stashes, discounts at the inn, and new merchandise in the shop.
Be sure to stockpile basic Concoct ingredients such as Soothing Seeds and Purifying Seeds early, as they form the foundation of Alfyn's versatile healing and status-cleansing abilities.
