Gordon Freeman journeys along the scenic yet dangerous coastal route using the Tau-cannon-mounted Scout Car (buggy). Along the way, he must assist resistance outposts, neutralize Combine barricades, and clear thumper-protected areas of Antlions. The chapter culminates at the massive railway suspension bridge, where Gordon must dismount to deactivate an energized forcefield on foot beneath the bridge spans.

Transports Combine soldiers and vehicles, dropping them directly into combat zones.

Combine Soldier

Standard Combine infantry armed with SMGs, shotguns, and grenades.

Poison Zombie

Weak to Explosives or repeated Magnum/Shotgun hits

Throws deadly Poison Headcrabs that reduce Freeman's health to 1.

Tips

Avoid driving onto open sand whenever possible to prevent Antlions from swarming your buggy.
Flip your scout car back onto its wheels instantly using the Gravity Gun's primary blast if it overturns.
Use the scout car's mounted Tau cannon's charged shot to eliminate distant Combine soldiers with a single blast.
