Guides / FINAL FANTASY XV WINDOWS EDITION
Zegnautus Keep
Zegnautus Keep is the massive imperial stronghold of Niflheim where Noctis infiltrates alone to rescue his friends and reclaim the Crystal. Stripped of his standard weapons and abilities for much of the run, Noctis must rely on the Ring of the Lucii and stealth mechanics to navigate elevator shafts and research sectors. After reuniting with Gladiolus and Ignis, the party regains their standard arsenal and battles through high-level daemons to reach the central elevator.
Enemies
Stalks Noctis through the hallways while he is alone; cannot be killed initially and must be avoided or stunned until later in the chapter
Small daemon that appears frequently in swarms throughout the facility corridors
Flying daemon that ambushes Noctis in larger hangar areas and stairwells
Magitek infantry mutant that ambushes the player from lockers and blind corners
Large spider-like daemon fought in the upper central hangar area
Tips
- Use Death via the Ring of the Lucii to quickly eliminate standard Magitek troopers and recover health while Noctis is separated from the party.
- Watch for unpowered Magitek troopers slumped along walls or inside lockers, as many will animate and grab Noctis as a jump scare when approached.
- Use rest rooms frequently to establish checkpoints, as dying without saving can set you back through lengthy stealth and keycard-hunting sections.
- If playing the updated Windows Edition route, you can choose Chapter 13 Verse 2 from the title menu or at the branch to experience an alternate, combat-heavy perspective playing as Gladiolus and Ignis.
