FINAL FANTASY XV WINDOWS EDITION guide · Chapter 15

Daurell Caverns is an optional subterranean dungeon located in southern Duscae filled with poisonous pools and high-level daemons. In Chapter 15, players return here to navigate to an elevated ledge and unlock the sealed Menace Slept in the Deep vault door. Completing the lower cavern area requires defeating an Iron Giant along with several supporting daemons.

A high hanging ladder near the central cavern must be knocked down during battle via a Warp-Strike to reach the upper path that leads to the sealed Menace dungeon door.

Weak to Greatswords, Shields, Light

Heavy daemon boss encounter in the lower poisoned pool chamber.

Necromancer

Weak to Swords, Daggers, Light

Floating daemon that can inflict the Petrification status and uses potent dark magic.

Hecteyes

Weak to Greatswords, Bows, Fire

Daemons that hover and inflict confusion and status ailments in tight corridors.

Tips

Equip accessories that prevent Poison, such as Star Pendants, because much of the lower floor is covered in toxic sludge that rapidly drains HP.
If you missed lowering the ladder during the fight using Warp-Strike, you will have to wait for enemies to respawn or use precise platforming to initiate combat again to target the warp point.
