Greyshire Glacial Grotto
Noctis and his companions explore this frozen cavern behind the Fallgrove waterfall during Chapter 3 to retrieve the Swords of the Wanderer. The path is narrow and covered in slick ice, requiring careful footing and occasional sliding down frozen slopes to reach the deeper chambers. At the bottom of the grotto, a trio of Mindflayers defends the entrance to the Royal Tomb.
Enemies
The boss-level encounter at the bottom of the cavern, dangerous due to confusion and stone status effects.
Small, agile daemons encountered in large packs throughout the grotto.
A powerful daemon swordsman capable of dealing massive damage with swift slice attacks.
Tips
- Equip accessories that protect against the Stone and Confusion status effects before fighting the Mindflayers at the end of the dungeon.
- Fire magic is ineffective for dealing weakness damage here despite the icy theme, as the primary daemons in this grotto are weak to Light, Daggers, and Polearms instead.
