The short version
What matters
- •Assemble all six elemental Eyes of the Obscured across the dunes to complete the set alongside the Base Core.
- •Recruit Yatzli at Thirdborn and obtain Magran’s Force during the Fire in the Mines quest.
- •Equip the Chitin Band found at Broken Crown Rock to neutralize high-damage beetle burrow attacks.
Common mistakes
- •Rushing Inquisitor Lödwyn's ruin objectives without exploring sealed Godless chambers, permanently destroying access to their adra nodes and gear.
- •Relying on slashing damage against Desert Beetles or fire against Blights; use crushing weapons or fire/corrosive spells for beetles, and cold or water attacks for blights.

Shatterscarp Gatehouse

Thirdborn Settlement
Repel the Dreamthrall Troops assaulting the perimeter gates before entering to meet and recruit Yatzli. Browse local traders, take bounty contracts, talk to Cinzia for Totem clues, and unlock lockboxes in town and nearby caves to assemble Trickster's Cuirass, Trickster's Gloves, and Trickster's Boots. Check the coastal and cliff crevices south of the settlement to locate Wahaki Tua and the Crystalline Egg, while taking down Darle & Moi Piki.

Great Sand Sea & Broken Crown Rock
Cross the massive desert dunes and head west of the Strangled Adra pillar on Broken Crown Rock to loot Chitin Band from a beetle-surrounded skeleton. Discover Izmalt’s Meteoric Apparatus among ancient rock formations in the dead lake basin, find Hel’s Tongue near the Ancient Memory location, and unearth Dead Man’s Mail or Robe of the Arcane Cheater using buried Shatterscarp Treasure Maps. Search cliffside drops, overhangs, and puzzle spots across the dunes to gather the Ruby, Sapphire, Amethyst, Emerald, Agate, and Topaz Eyes of the Obscured.

Sand Sea Ruins & The Garden Approach
Scale the Twin Offerings Overlook and Sand Sea Oasis shrines before approaching the ancient Godless ruins at Naku Kubel leading toward Galawain's Tusks and The Garden. Confront Inquisitor Lödwyn during Face Your Fears / Our Dreams Divide Us Still and make your choice: seal the ruins to stop the regional Dreamscourge flow at the cost of adra secrets, or preserve them to spare innocents while leaving Thirdborn to endure recurring attacks.
Key fight: Dreamthrall TroopsTip: Use gap-closing maneuvers to rapidly suppress Dreamthrall Arquebusiers entrenched on elevated vantage points.
Watch out: Scour all sealed Godless chambers for unique equipment and adra nodes before triggering collapses, as Lödwyn's interventions will permanently lock them off.

Fate of the Godless Ruins
At the climax of the ruins confrontation during Face Your Fears / Our Dreams Divide Us Still

- Preserve the Ruins/Refuse Lödwyn→ Protects the ancient site and spares innocents targeted by Lödwyn, but leaves Thirdborn and nearby outposts to endure ongoing hostile Dreamscourge assaults
Collapsing the ruins destroys access to any unfound internal collectibles and unique gear
