Resident Evil Village guide · Initial arrival and exploration

Ethan Winters arrives in an apparently deserted, snow-covered European village after surviving a vehicle transport crash. The player must navigate the ramshackle houses to find gear and survive a scripted, overwhelming assault by lycans until a bell sounds. Following the attack, Ethan receives guidance to seek out the village's Castle Dimitrescu.

Tips

Barricade doorways using large wooden shelves to slow down lycans during the village ambush.
Shoot red explosive barrels positioned outside during the siege to eliminate clusters of attacking lycans instantly.
Look for flour sacks placed near entryways and slice or shoot them to briefly blind nearby enemies.
