KINGDOM HEARTS II FINAL MIX guide · Sora's first visit

Sora, Donald, and Goofy arrive in ancient China and ally with Mulan, who is disguised as Ping to join the imperial army. After proving themselves to Captain Shang and defending the snowy mountain pass from Shan-Yu's forces, the group heads to the Imperial Square to protect the Emperor. The visit culminates in a boss fight against Shan-Yu and his falcon outside the palace gates.

Rapid Thruster

Flying Heartless that swarms the party and attacks in groups with diving charges.

Assault Rider

High-health centaur-like Heartless with devastating spear thrusts and explosive spin attacks.

Shan-Yu

The final boss of the visit, fought alongside his pet falcon Hayabusa while palace gates take damage.

Tips

Use Reaction Commands frequently against the Assault Riders to avoid their dangerous spinning spear sweeps.
Protect the palace doors during the Shan-Yu battle by staying close to him and staggering him before he attacks the gate.
Equipping Mulan into your active party gives you access to the Dragonblaze Limit, which deals solid area damage and grants temporary invulnerability.
