Destiny Islands serves as the prologue world where Sora explores his home and interacts with his childhood friends. Sora gathers supplies to build a raft with Riku and Kairi before a dark storm consumes the islands. After the storm hits, Sora obtains the Keyblade, defeats a massive Heartless, and is separated from his home.

Boss encounter during the storm; attack its hands when it plunges them into the ground.

Tips

You can duel Riku, Wakka, Selphie, and Tidus on the first day to grind Tech Points and level up before leaving the island.
Parrying Wakka's blitzball back at him awards Tech Points and temporarily stuns him.
Choosing to race Riku allows you to win a Protect Chain, which serves as a defense-boosting accessory.
During the Darkside boss fight, you can defeat the summoned Shadows to collect HP balls if your health gets low.
