Isaac heads through Medical to find and neutralize the source of a neurotoxin poisoning the Ishimura's life support. Along the way, he confronts Dr. Challus Mercer and is relentlessly pursued by an unkillable, regenerating Necromorph known as the Hunter. Isaac must produce an antidote to cleanse the air and ultimately cryogenically freeze the Hunter to survive.

Regenerates its limbs rapidly and cannot be permanently killed with conventional weapons.

Tips

Do not waste significant amounts of ammunition trying to defeat the Hunter; sever its legs, hit it with Stasis to keep it down, and run to complete your objectives.
In the Cryogenics chamber, lure the Hunter directly into the central freezing unit, sever its legs and apply Stasis, then quickly run to the observation console to activate the freeze cycle.
