House of Hades
Hades guide · The central hub for upgrades, dialogue, and narrative progression
← All areas in this guide
The House of Hades serves as the main hub where Zagreus returns after dying or completing an escape attempt. Here, you interact with various Olympian allies and Chthonic gods to progress storylines, unlock permanent character upgrades, and customize your weapons. Before embarking on your next run, you can select your weapon and practice your combat skills in the training courtyard.
Shops and people
- Mirror of Night: Permanent stat boosts and gameplay enhancements purchased using Darkness, with alternate talent options unlocked via Chthonic Keys
- House Contractor: Work orders that unlock room rewards, functional features, and cosmetic renovations using Gemstones and Diamonds
- Wretched Broker: Resource trades exchanging materials such as Gemstones, Darkness, Nectar, and Chthonic Keys
- Skelly: Infinite practice dummy in the courtyard to test weapon attacks, boons, and damage numbers
Tips
- Pet Cerberus regularly in the main hall between runs to advance relationship dialogue and complete associated prophecies.
- Offer Nectar to characters around the House on your first conversation with them to earn their unique Keepsakes.
- Clear the House Contractor's job to unlock the Fountain Chambers, as this adds healing opportunities directly into your future escape chambers.
- Switch between the red and green sides of the Mirror of Night talents once unlocked to tailor your passive buffs to your preferred weapon.
